What is this crazy effect!?

I just saw this video and I really want to know how they made this!

Mainly because it seems like a form of data-moshing.

For Appropriators:

This is a brilliant video by RocketBoom's Know Your Meme specialists, about copyright and internet culture. Know your rights!

Rough cut for final project

Hello - My final project will be a mini documentary on consumer culture. As an observer (and fellow consumer), I will share my findings in this short. Text will be added as well as, possibly, audio in the form of a narrative. This is only a short unedited part of the project.

A Series of Tubes

Here's the first 30 seconds of my video. . . it has a few bugs still, I think I accidentally deleted some of the wrong frames and that is making it get all datamoshed. I don't plan on keeping it like that, I just didn't have time to mess with it before class. I am also planning on making it both goofy and introspective, I just haven't gotten to the theoretical part yet.

Go team MCluhan!

Steven Bantog's test video

Helllllo, this is a scene from my video that is rough and the audio is not cut up like I want it. I've been experiment for weeks with this style, and I really enjoy shooting stop motion (eventhough it takes up ALL my hard drive on my computer.) This scene is a part of my "Video Diary Remake" it's me shooting downtown Chicago from 7pm till night time. I want to keep the rest of the video a secret. Hope you like it :)

Theresa Rough-edit

so i'm switching gears from my original idea and i've decided to go a different route. what i've done is cut chunks from two movies at the exact same place in each movie and i've begun to intertwine them into one. Its starts to play on how the plots for disney movies are so formulaic and similar. anywho, its still quite rough and the idea is still developing, but here goes.....

Mudkipumpkin

Hey everyone, this is Liz!
I just wanted to post a video that I made a few weeks ago after we learned how to do the data moshing technique. It's pretty janky overall, but I was pretty proud of myself for figuring out how to do it. So, if anyone wants to use the technique and is having trouble, I may be able to help you out too! :)

kthxbi.

Welcome to your class blog! Post your videos here.

Hi Everyone.

So henceforth (or at least for the next few weeks...) this will be an additional way for us to give/receive input on our videos. To begin, I'm posting our green screen/spacewolf exercise.

AD 170 Spring 2010 Green Screen Project from Michael Morris on Vimeo.

If you have a youtube account already, upload a copy of your video there and embed it in a post here. If you're unsure of how to do this, we'll go over this in class. Sharing your work online is great, and it's even better to know how to export it to make it look the best it can. See you guys soon.
